Lost Pines Tabletop Lamp
Lost Pines Tabletop Lamp
In 2011, our neighbors in Bastrop, Texas experienced the costliest and most destructive blaze in Texas history and the third most destructive in the U.S., according to the Texas Forest Service. The fire devoured 32,400 acres and destroyed nearly 1,700 homes and businesses, forcing 5,000 residents to evacuate. The loss of countless pine trees to the area has been catastrophic. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this lantern will be donated to assist in the re-planting effort.
Like all evergreen trees which do not lose their leaves or green color during the wintertime, the pine tree stands for immortality. In Japan, the pine tree stands as a tribute to strong character and energy because it holds up against strong winds.
