Cords and Bulbs:

Our lamps and hanging lanterns disassemble and flat pack for shipping, requiring minimum assembly for use. Cords are included, though bulbs are not. Currently, all the lamps and lanterns on our site are for indoor use. They will survive well under a patio cover, but please do not let them get rained on, as the wood is unsealed and the cords are made for indoor use.

* The cords sold with our Table Top Lamps are white and six feet long. They use candelabra-base size bulbs which are available at most grocery and hardware stores.

*  The cords sold with our Hanging Lanterns are black or white and eleven feet long. They use standard size bulbs.

*   Nightlights come with bulbs and are ready to plug in. They also feature a day-light sensor and come on automatically in the dark and turn off to save energy during the day.

Lamp and Lantern Sizes:

Our Table Top Lamps come in small, large and large hexagonal sizes. Small size lamp is 7.5 inches tall by 7.5 inches square at the base. The large size is 11 inches tall by 7.5 inches square at the base. Hexagonal standing lamps are approximately 11 inches across and between eight and 11 inches tall, depending on design.

Our Hanging Lanterns come in small, medium and large sizes. The small lantern size is 5.5 inches tall by 5.5 inches square at the base. The medium lantern is a square 7.5 inches at the base and 7.5 inches tall and the large size is 11 inches tall by 7.5 inches square at the base. Most of our hanging lamps are medium size. The medium hexagonal lanterns are approximately 8 inches across and 6 inches tall, with the exception of the peacock (11″ tall) and dragonfly (10″ tall).

Artistic License:

Due to the rapidly evolving nature of our craft and vision, some lanterns may differ slightly from the photographed images. We are continually refining our products and, while we strive to offer the best, most improved products we are able to, our photographing and web updating can not always keep pace.  We also enjoy creating custom interior and exterior fixtures. Responsible Materials:

All of our interior lamps, lanterns and night lights are made with untreated Monterey pine from sustainable sources, as certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The paper features a traditional cloud dragon patterned shoji paper that is coated with synthetic fibers, making it durable and washable. Just wipe with a damp cloth when needed. Subtle, glossy mulberry fibers create depth and elegance.

Our boxes are 90% recycled content and all of our packaging materials and bags are 100% recycled.  We hope you will find an opportunity to re-use these.
